Before you belittle others, look at your own attitude before being so defensive. Is this how Orthodox Christians are? hateful, and put words in other people’s mouths? So what if Mary appeared in Egypt. She appeared in Mexico and Vietnam too. I have a life, but it is not full of hatred and misery, like yours is. Peace be with you. -

I strive for peace and tolerance and not dislike just because of someone else’s beliefs and traditions. I respect both traditions as they are both equally beautiful. I dont think it matters if one is a kind and compassionate person just because they are not “Orthodox”. Mother Theresa is a great example of this. I refuse to be blind and to be the spark that feeds the flames of intolerance. It’s 2010, not 1054 anymore. It’s time we get over childish things.

Thanks for the hate-o-rade explanation against Catholics but to be honest, it really doesnt matter to me anymore. You guys both believe in the same God, the same Jesus, the same Virgin Mary, the same bible. At least the Catholic church is striving for reconnection while you guys still have a 15th century thinking. I doubt the church that existed prior to 1054 was even called the “Orthodox” church. -

@Chichiri520 man do you not understand that the roman catholic church did not exist before 1054? there is no hate between the chuches. But this is the reality, they are heretic. And now many catholics realise that the catholic church is wrong and they are converting to Orthodoxy.

Orthodox Christianity and Roman Catholic Christianity are such beautiful traditions. But this is why I can never be a part of any of them because of the hatred that its followers harbour toward each other. I dont wish to partake in such hatred. -

@Gemo377 no they are not brothers. the catholic church leaved the original (orthodox) church and created a new one in 1054. and look how many problems they have today. THEY ARE HERETIC! in Italy for example before 1054 the churches was exactly like the orthodox churches are today..
